Doug Linke

Doug LinkeAll I said was
that American
policy had
something to do with
it, some measure
of blame. A fairly
innocuous
statement, and one that
many learned
people would agree
with behind closed
doors. But I said it
out loud, on the
air, so they destroyed
my career and
slandered my name. All
in the name of
patriotism.
But shouldn’t that
national pride be
self-evident?
And if you have to
bellow it and
enforce it through fear
and coercion,
isn’t it worthless?
