I gave my last bit of
strength campaigning for
the Governor. And they
said he won at first.
But then it was too close
to call. And there were
lawsuits and rulings and
appeals. I tried to
hang on, to see him claim
his rightful triumph.
But my body didn’t
listen to what my
head was telling it. Did
he win it? Did he
restore our prestige and
pride? What happened? What
happened? No one will say.
